I am guessing that Vantine is a phonological variant of the name Fonteyn. The information about the Fonteyns came from www.conovergenealogy.com. There was more there about earlier Fonteyns.

Her son, Peter C. Bodine, is in the 1880 Census of Niles, Cayuga Co., NY. He said that both his parents were born in PA.
