Notes for: William Abbott Bodine, Sr.
Midge said that he was born in Lebanon Township, Hunterdon Co., New Jersey. She sent me information on eleven of his children. I had a twelfth, Joshua, whose year, 1832, corresponded with Midge's John Salmon. I combined these into a Joshua Salmon Bodine, but his middle name is not sure. Census info does show that Joshua was the one born in 1832. Midge got her information from a Carol Rein Murray of Greeley, Colorado. In the 1860 Census of Oakland County, Michigan, there was a Martha Devoes (age 4, NJ) in his household. This may be his granddaughter, a daughter of Mary.
William is in the 1830 Census of Morris Co., NJ. He has five children. This matches the info I have.
He is in the 1840 Census of Morris Co., NJ. From the numbers, all his living children were at home: four boys and four girls. George W. Bodine would not yet have been listed yet.
