On 25 March 1855 Edward Bodine, aged 55, a resident of Northfield, New York, applied for a bounty land warrant based upon his military service during the War of 1812. He stated he was called out at Castleton, Richmond County, in Sept 1814 and served as a Private in the company commanded by Captain Barnes, in the Regiment of New York Militia commanded by Colonel Connor. His claim was rejected (Blwt Rejected 63214).
