Notes for: Samuel Stockton Bodine

From Ronny Bodine:

Stockton Bodine, recorded as age 12 in 1870 and age 17 in 1880, was living with his parents in Bordentown, Burlington County. In 1889 and 1890, Stockton Bodine, carpenter, was listed in directories for Bordentown. In the 1895 New Jersey State Census, Stockton Bodine was a resident of Trenton, Mercer County, New Jersey, along with his wife Maud, son Lloyd and daughter Olive. Thereafter, Stockton Bodine disappears from the records and apparently reappears as Samuel Bodine, living 1900 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with his wife Maud and son Lloyd. He gave his occupation as varnisher and stated that in 15 years of marriage his wife had borne 3 children, but only 1 was then living. It appears likely then that his name was either Samuel Stockton Bodine or Stockton Samuel Bodine.
