Married. August 7, 1917, at Medford, by Rev. John T. Richardson, Thomas Bodine and Mrs. Lillian Haines, both of Medford. [Note: Lillian was 1st married to Samuel Haines, by whom she had Emma Gladys Haines, born 10 July 1915 in Medford, Burling Co., NJ; died 2 Jan 1998. Emma's Social Security Records note her birth as daughter of Samuel & Lillian (Mingen) Haines. In 1935, Emma Haines married Edsel Buss Hulse (1916-1978).]
He registered for the World War I draft on 12 Sept 1918 in Camden and was now working as a farmer and was still engaged thus in 1920.
1930 Mount Holly, Burlington Co., NJ: Thomas BODINE 51 NJ farm laborer, Lillian 47 NJ wife, Gladys 14 NJ dau, Everett 9 NJ son, Mark MINGIN 75 NJ uncle. Married 13 years.
Lillian Bodine died of cancer at a Trenton hospital and was buried in St. Andrew's Cemetery, Mount Holly. See her obituary in the "New Jersey Mirror" of 25 Jan 1939. Thomas Bodine registered for the World War II draft in 1942 under the name Thomas Throck Bodine as a resident of Mount Holly.

MOUNT HOLLY--Thomas T. Bodine, who was retired after 23 years with the Burlington County Highway Department, died yesterday at his home, 111 Mill Street. Surviving are a son, Everett; a daughter, Mrs Gladys Hulse; two sisters, Mrs. Ella Miley of Barnsboro and Mrs. Reba Farnkoff of Salem, and a brother, William of Barnsboro. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Shelvin Funeral Home, 441 High Street. Interment will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday evening.
