Notes for: Emerson Peter Bodine

There is a Peter Bodine, Sr. buried in the Sodus Cemetery in Wayne County, New York, but I don't know if it is this one. That Peter was born 1852 and died in 1928. A Calvin J. Bodine (1917-1938) is buried there, too.

In 1870, Emerson Bodine lived with his parents and was employed as a carpenter.

An inventory of his estate was filed in Middlesex County. (New Jersey Estates, 14477L).

Georgianna (Stines) Bodine was the daughter of Ferdinand Schenck and Elizabeth (Rule) Stines. On 21 June 1882, in Franklin, Somerset County, Georgianna Bodine married 2ndly, John C. Suydam. In 1910, widowed a second time, she was living with her son Ferdinand and his family in Franklin Township, Somerset County.

The will of Georgianna Suydam, who died in Franklin Township, Jan. 20, leaves the entire estate to the testator's son, Ferdinand M. Bodine of Franklin Park, who is named executor. The will was executed Feb. 15, 1927.
