Obituary, Interlaken (N.Y.) Review of Friday, 20 June 1919.
The sad news reaches us this morning that Charles E. Bodine died about 8 o'clock last night at his home, 244 North Main street, Canandaigua. We have no particulars further than that he had been suffering from heart trouble some time and about May 1st had to give up work. His death was not looked for at this time. Mr. Bodine would have reached his 59th birthday on Sunday next. He was born in Lodi, the son of the late Peter V. N. Bodine, and there is scarcely a man in the town of Lodi, Covert or Ovid who did not have a personal acquaintance and high regard forCharlie. We all regret his passing. He leaves a wife, eldest daughter of the late Dr. Chapin, Willard's first superintendent, two daughters, Mrs. John Boyer of Lodi, Miss Dorothy at Albany, and one son, Charles Preston, now with the A. E. F. in France. Funeral will be held at the home in Canandaigua at 2 p. m., on Saturday. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery in that city.
