Notes for: Annabel D. Bodine

The article about her father in Biographical History... spells her name Anabelle.

Annabel was married five times. She lived with her last husband in Eustis, Florida. On May 23, 1907, she signed a deed for some property in Burlington County, New Jersey as an heir of Joel Alfred Bodine (Book 421, p. 440). She signed as Annabel B. Lauder (widow) of Masina County of Lake Florida (info from John Stanwood).

Hi,

My name is Anna DuBois. I am researching mainly the Daniel Parker family but Annabel took guardianship of a child in 1902 (my great-grandmother) Katherine Parker. I am curious if Annabel was related to the Parkers somehow. They were located in Ocean County, New Jersey...

Thank you

... Annabel's parents were Joel Alfred Bodine and Phoebe French. She was born in 1862 in New Jersey. She was married 5 times: Sutton, Lander, East; the other two I don't remember offhand. She took guardianship of my ggrandmother in 1902 (she had a daughter Alice Sutton that had died about 5 years before) and raised her sending her to school at the Mt. St. Joseph Convent in Philadelphia...

Thanks,

Anna DuBois

From Ronny Bodine:

Annabel was married five times. Her 1st husband may have been one S. B. Sutton. On 23 May 1907 she signed a deed for property in Burlington County, New Jersey as an heir of J. Alfred Bodine. She signed as Annabel B. Lauder, widow, of Masina, County of Lake, Florida (Burlington Co. Deeds 421: 440). Harry and Annabel East were living in Lake County, Florida from 1910 and perhaps married there. In 1910, Annabel East stated this was her 3rd marriage and her husband's 1st. She reported having borne one child, but it was no longer living. In 1910, Harry East was engaged in farming. In 1920, he was foreman of road workers.
