The marriage of Charles L. Duffell, M.D. and Phoebe A. Bodine, both of Williamstown, was reported in the Woodbury "Constitution" of 4 July 1866. Charles Duffell graduated from Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia in 1862. Charles Duffell and family were living 1880 in Clayton, Gloucester County, New Jersey where Charles practiced medicine. In 1900, Charles and Phoebe Duffell were living in the home of their daughter Martha Sinnickson, in Salem, New Jersey. Phoebe reported then she had borne 6 children, but Martha was her only surviving child.

DUFFELL.---On December 15, 1908, Phoebe Bodine Duffell, wife of C. L. Duffell, M.D. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral, from her late residence, 20 Seventh st., Salem, N.J. on Saturday morning next, December 19, at 10 o'clock. Services at residence. A short service and interment at the Methodist Episcopal Church and Cemetery at Williamstown, N.J. at 3 o'clock. Train leaves Philadelphia for Salem at 8.04 o'clock. Returning train leaves Salem for Philadelphia at 12.10 o'clock.
