In 1900, Louis BoDine lived with his family in Logan, Sioux County, Iowa where he worked as a railway brakeman. He reported he had been married 5 years and his wife had borne one child, then living with them. In 1910, the family lived in Huron, Beadle County, South Dakota where Louis worked as a freight train conductor. Now he reported that in 14 years of marriage his wife had borne 2 children, but only one lived. In 1920, the family still lived in Huron, Beadle County, South Dakota where Louis worked as a passenger conductor, and in 1930, in Hawarden, Sioux County, Iowa where he was a railway passenger conductor. He was retired in Nov 1937 as a result of poor eyesight. Lewis and Mary BoDine were buried in West Batavia Cemetery, Kane County, Illinois. The dates of death for both were inscribed on their grave markers as 27 Sept 1961 and 20 Dec 1946 respectively, one day off each from what was reported in the newspapers.

Mr. and Mrs. L. Bodine of Sioux City have come to Huron to make their home. They are living at the Weir apartments. Before going to Sioux City Mr. and Mrs. Bodine lived in Huron.

Friends in Huron have learned of the death of Mrs. L. T. Bodine, who died last night at Joliet, III., which has been her home the past several years. Funeral services and burial will be held Monday at Joliet. Surviving her are her husband and her son, Ira Bodine, also of Joliet. The Bodine family resided in Huron many years. Mr. Bodine is a retired railroad conductor of the Chicago & North Western Railway here.

Word was received by Mrs. Paul Schiefen of the death of her uncle, L. T. BoDine, 92, at Joliet, Ill., on September 26. Burial was at Batavia, Ill., the following Friday. Mr. BoDine was a railroad man and with his family lived in Harwarden during the 1930s and early 1940s residing first in the home now occupied by the Elmer Den Hartog family and later in the house in which the Tom Tilgner family resides. Born in New York state, he was a railroad man in the midwestern territory throughout his life, residing for a time at Huron and Redwood, S. D. Survivors include a son, Ira BoDine of Joliet; a randdaughter and a great grandson.
