According to the 1880 Census of Bordentown, New Jersey, he lived at 15 Crosswicks Street. He lived there with his wife, Adeline, and their seven children. The census also shows that Margaret Bodine, his mother-in-law lived with them. She was 81 years old. William was born in New Jersey as well as his parents. His undertaking business operated out of 23 and 25 Crosswicks Street.
