The 1882 Harrisburg City Directory listed Mrs. Permelia Riley; the 1887 Harrisburg City Directory listed Permelia Riley as widow of Peter.

1910 Harrisburg, Dauphin Co., PA: John C. KELLAM 55 PA, Annie C. 54 PA wife, Permelia RILEY 83 NJ widowed. Married 33 years, no children. Permelia bore 10 children/8 still living.

From State of Pennsylvania Certificate of Death for Permelia Riley, widow, dau. of Francis Boden & Sarah Ann Thompson, born 24 Jan 1827 in NJ, died 12 April 1917 in Harrisburg, Dauphin County; buried in East Harrisburg Cemetery; informant was Mrs. J. C. Kellam of Harrisburg. [Note: Despite the confusion over the names of her parents, there is no doubt as to her identity as the daughter of James and Sarah Bodine.]

Mrs. Permelia Riley died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. C. Kellam, 1545 Swatara street, last night, aged 90 years. Surviving are seven children, 27 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral arrangements have not been made.

Children: Elizabeth (c1847), John Marchell (1849), Francis (c1852), Annie (c1858), Robert (c1860), Charles (c1863), Ellen (c1865), Joseph (c1868), Edward (c1870).

The 1919 PA Death Certificate of their son John M. Riley records his birth as 4 Nov 1852 [sic] in Camden, NJ, son of Peter Riley and Permilla Budline.
