Notes for: Daniel W. Bodine

He was described as "from Mount Holly, New Jersey" at FamilySearch.com. John Stanwood has visited Daniel's grave.

I did have that he was born on Feb. 3, 1786. There was no source for that. The information below sounds like it has better sources.

From Ronny Bodine:

The marriage of Daniel Bodine and Mary Burrows was reported in the "New Jersey Mirror" of 8 May 1862. The will of Daniel Bodine, of Mount Holly, dated 22 Sept 1868, was proved 6 March 1873. Therein, he named his wife Mary R. Bodine, children Francis W. Bodine, Rebecca L. Bodine, Philip S. Bodine and Joshua E. Bodine, grandchildren Daniel Bodine, son of Philip and Mary C. Bodine, daughter of his deceased son Theodore. Executors were his wife, Mary, son Francis, and friend John C. Ten Eyck (Burlington Co. Wills, N: 38-40). Daniel Bodine died of paralysis. Rebecca (Stricker) Bodine was the daughter of Philip and Rebecca Stricker. She died of consumption and was buried in Mount Holly Cemetery, Burlington County. The inscription on her tombstone, "Rebecca E. Bodine died 15 April 1857, aged 69" was included in the "History of Burlington and Mercer Counties, New Jersey," Philadelphia, 1881, p. 201. See also her obituary in the "New Jersey Mirror" of 16 April 1857. Daniel Bodine's obituary appeared in the "New Jersey Mirror" of 27 Feb 1873 and Mary Bodine's in the issue of 14 Sept 1904.
