John Lewis (Mary Power's husband) and Thomas Shore were church wardens in 1771 for Shelburne Parish in Loudoun Co VA. On 10 April 1771, they were "directed to employ some minister to perform divine service once in every three months during
pleasure, and that the preference be given to the Rev. Mr. Scott and that
the minister employed do preach at Leesburg and the other chapel (called
the Mountain Chapel) in the parish of Shelburne as also at some
convenient place near the gap of the Short Hill."
