I live in Arizona and am a little late to the party. For 60 years, I have not had a paternal ancestry. It has been difficult to not provide a family linage for my two boys, both starting their own families.
In the last few days, with the help of a good friend, I have started chasing my father's (whom I never met) family tree.
As it turns out, Lewis Pierce Bodine and Luernay (Lou) Colvin appear to be my great grandparents. Their daughter, Electia Eliza Bodine, married my grandfather, Walter Jefferson Davis at Cowans Ranch in Dewey Co. Oklahoma. One of their children was Donald William Davis, my father, who is buried in Bakersfield California; my birth place.
Can anyone please help me connect some dots. I have never met a single soul who is a relative of my biological father.

The birth records for Wise County, Texas record the birth of Electia Eliza, on 13 March 1883 in Sunset, daughter of Louis Bodine, born in Missouri and Luerania McColvin, born in Tennessee. In 1956, James and Electia Woods lived in Westmorland, Imperial County, California.
