Notes for: Helen Elisabeth Dorothea Bodine

I think she must have been born right around the time her father died. I don't think she was listed in the 1880 Census of Orange, Essex Co., NJ; so she must have been born after that and around the time her father died in 1881. I later got the census info below from Ronny Bodine and that does prove this.

From Ronny Bodine:

From Philadelphia Birth Records:
Helen Bodine, born 9 Oct 1880 to Joseph S. & Helen Bodine.

On 11 Sept 1918, Abner Demnan Reeve registered for the World War I Draft in East Orange, Essex County, NJ. He reported he was born 19 Jan 1881 and worked as a carpenter foreman.

From New Jersey Marriage Records:
Abner D. Reeve AND Helen D. Bodine were married 1919.

From New Jersey Federal Census Records:
1920 (3 Jan) East Orange, Essex Co.: A.D. REEVE 38 NJ Builder-Carpenter, Helen 39 NJ Teacher-Newark City Schools, Helen BODINE 68 NJ mother-in-law.

In 1921, Abner D. Reeve was accepted into the New Jersey Sons of the American Revolution. His application stated he was born 19 Jan 1881 in Wilburn, Essex County, NJ.

The 1926 City Directory of Orange, New Jersey lists Abner D. Reeve, died 19 April 1926, age 45.

From New Jersey Death Records:
Abner Reeve died April 1926 in East Orange, Essex County.
