Thelma Hinds, 86, of Arab died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2010, at her residence. Mrs. Hinds was born Jan. 12, 1924, in Alabama to William M. and Mary E. Morgan Bodine. She was married to Lee Hinds. She was a member of New Brashier's Chapel United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband: Lee Hinds of Arab; son: Roger Hinds of California; daughters: Brenda Hinds-Pool of Georgia and Gail Hinds-Stewart of Arab; brother: Carl Wade Bodine of Maryland; sister: Ozell Askea of Ohio; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and a host of nieces and nephews. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Gober Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to American Heart Association, Alacare Hospice or Hospice of Marshall County. Pallbearers will be Tom Stewart, David Pool, Orman Chandler, Jeremy Hinds, Jesse Jones and Russell Pool. Honorary pallbearers will be Gregory Sinatra, Ed Morris, Alfred Bodine, Max Bodine, Larry Askea and James Stephens.

Lee Walton Hinds, 93, of Arab died Friday Aug. 10, 2012, at his residence. Mr. Hinds was born May 4, 1919 in Marshall County to Clabe W. and Cindy Shelton Hinds. He was married to Thelma Bee Bodine Hinds, who passed away on Feb. 28, 2010. He was a member of New Brashier's Chapel United Methodist Church. He served in the Army and National Guard and was retired. He is survived by son: Roger Hinds of California; daughters: Brenda Hinds-Pool of Georgia and Gail Hinds-Stewart of Arab; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today, Aug. 15, 2012, at Gober Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Arab Memorial Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Russell Pool, Jesse Jones, Gregory Sinatra, Asa Calvert, Nicholas Sinatra and Benjamin Sinatra. Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Morris, James Stephens and Google Hendrix. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alacare Hospice, Oneonta chapter.
