Martha J. Bodine, aged 3, lived with her parents in July 1860, but not in June 1870 when she would have been aged 13 years. John North served as Mayor of Bluffton in 1873. In June 1880, John and Martha North lived in Bluffton, Wells County, Indiana and in June 1900 in Milton, Wayne County, Indiana where John was the proprietor of a flour mill. He reported that in 23 years of marriage his wife had borne 3 children, all living with them. In April 1910 John and Martha lived in Bluffton, Wells County, Indiana and reported that in 33 years of marriage all 3 of their children were still living.
