Notes for: Christiana Marlatt

She could be his second wife, but that is only a guess. I think this is the Christina Bordine listed as the mother of Abram Bordine in the 1855 Census of Yates, Orleans County, New York. She is 65 in that census which would put her birth date at about 1790. Info in the Hollinger box says she resided in Augusta Township, Washtenaw County, Michigan. See the Notes for her husband for much more on this family.

Sue Wichers sent me a photo of Christina's tombstone taken by Sue's grandmother Ella Bordine Smith in June of 1969. We think this is/was at County Line Cemetery in London Twp., Monroe Co., Michigan. It is not listed at Find A Grave with other Bordines from this line, but maybe it fell over or got broken or was buried. We'll try to confirm that it's actually still there.

Tombstone of Christina (Marlatt) Bordine

This probably says the following:
CHRISTINA
Wife of
JACOB BORDINE
DIED
June 26, 1860
Aged ** years (assumption is 69)
4 mos. & 10 ds.

This picture was taken June 1969 by my grandmother Ella Bordine Smith (descendant of Allen W. Bordine). I am presuming the grave is at the County Line Cemetery, London Township, Monroe County, Michigan because the tombstones of Norman and Julia Bordine and several others on the same roll of negatives are identified by Find A Grave at the same cemetery.
