Notes for: Joseph Thompson

After being a judge for fifteen years of the Hunterdon County Court, was then judge of the Somerset County Court for a further fifteen years. His last appointment being made on the nomination by Governor George B. McClellan (of the opposite political party), at the request of every lawyer in the county ("History of the West Branch Valley," p. 531).
