Notes for: Alice R. Bodine

One transcription of the 1880 Census spells her daughter's name as Larra L. Bodine, but looking at it closely I think it might just be Laura. It is hard to read. I found her as Laura Perrott in the 1910 Census of Bordentown, NJ. That name is Perrett in the 1900 Census of her father-in-law Agustus Perrett/Perrott, Sr.

From Ronny Bodine:

Alice was named as an adoptive daughter of Daniel Bodine in his will of 19 Dec 1870. She was living 1860 and 1880 with her adoptive parents in Burlington County. The 1880 census also reported Lana L. Bodine, age 1, as a daughter of Alice.

From Camden County, New Jersey Marriage Records:
Thomas W. Joy AND Alice R. Bodine, 37, were married 12 Sept 1896 in Camden.

1900 Bordentown, Burlington Co., NJ: Thomas JOY Jr. April 1862 PA painter, Alice R. Nov 1860 NJ wife, Thomas W. Jan 1827 RI father. Married 3 years, no children. [Note: In the 1860 census she was already 3 years old and at her death her age is given as 74, so likely born Nov 1857.]

1920 Bordentown, Burlington Co., NJ: Thomas W. JOY 57 PA painter, Alice R. 62 NJ wife.
