Notes for: Henry Fauss Bodine
I just had Henry F. Bodine, but I saw that RB has him as Henry Fauss Bodine. I'll go with that for now, but I would like to have a source for it.

Hello David,
I took a ride to Hunterdon today. I found the plots. Jacob & Catherine's stones need a cleaning which I will attempt to do. But they look good. There are no Church records. I also found the Cemetery of Henry and Amy. They are at The Locktown Presbyterian Church on Lockstown-Sergeantsville Rd. and Locktown-Flemington Rd. Amy had her own stone which stated she was his wife, and Henry's had another woman's name on his, so perhaps he re-married. Her name is "Mary D. Horne", it only shows her birth date. My scribble either says 1855 or 1859. Other stones there were: Annie B. and George L. Bodine. 1878-1960 and 1870-1953. Also there is Harry B. Bodine 1887-1833, who's home I saw today talking to an old timer about the last Church ( no Bodine's) but he told me Harry owned the home right across the street. Also that another Bodine family owned a big farm ( many years ago ) on my way back to the first Church in SandBrook. There was also, a David Bodine, who I cannot recall who he is the brother of? I think he is Henry's brother. I look forward to hearing from you. Here are a couple of photo's I had to take on a cheap camera, as my better camera's batteries went south!. I will return there to do it again and hopefully get much better shots! I will keep in touch as I find more info. Beautiful Country out there!

I am going to guess that Mary D. Horne was Henry's second wife. I later found their marriage record online.

Married. September 24th, by Eld. Gabriel Conklin, Mr. Henry F. Bodine of Delaware to Miss Amy Chamberlain, of Kingwood.
Death Notice, The Hunterdon Republican of 11 July 1883.
Death at Locktown, 7 July 1883. Mrs. Amy Bodine, aged 39 years, 8 months and 21 days. She was the wife of Henry F. Bodine and mother of Oscar C. Bodine, 19 years old and Victor C. Bodine, about 10 years old.
2nd marriage--1885--MARY D. HORNE.
In 1900, Henry and Mary Bodine lived in Delaware Township, Hunterdon County where Henry was employed as an auctioneer. He reported that in 14 years of marriage, his wife Mary had borne one child, their son Harry, who was then living with them. Henry Bodine and his two wives are buried in Locktown Presbyterian Church, Locktown, Hunterdon County. In 1920, Mary Bodine, age 60, lived with her son and his family in Delaware Township.

Henry F. Bodine, secretary of the New Jersey State Grange, died at his home in Locktown last Wednesday, from paralysis, aged 70 years. He was stricken a week before. He was a charter member of Locktown Grange, organized thrity years ago, and officiated as secretary of the State Grange for the seven years. He was also treasurer of the Locktown Dairy Association.
From Plainfield (NJ) Courier-News of 30 April 1940:
"Letters cta were granted to Peter A. Decking, Flemington RD, in the estate of Mary D. Bodine, who died in Raritan Township May 22, 1934. The late Robert T. heath was named executor of Mrs. Bodine's will and died leaving certain properties and assets unadministered." [Note: Peter A. Decking was her grandson-in-law.]
