My thanks to Jeff Perine for much of the info I have on this John Bodine's children. It appears that he also received a lot of his info from a Janet Rasmussen.
I had guessed that John probably died in Sand Brook, Hunterdon County, New Jersey. However, in information received from Jeff Perine, there was a birth and death date for this John as well as a place of death: Plainfield, New Jersey. I assume this is the Plainfield in Union County. No source was given for any of this information except that it came from Janet Rasmussen. Since his wife died in North Plainfield and they lived in North Plainfield in 1880, I'm guessing he actually died in North Plainfield, Somerset Co., NJ. That needs verfication, though.
Jeff later sent me a picture of John and Clarissa's 50th wedding anniversary. This also came from Janet. There was a list included of most of the people in the picture (although I have my doubts as to the accuracy of what it says). Here is the picture below:

I later found the following summary of a newspaper article from 1928 in Trenton. This came from an Internet site related to Bucks County, Pennsylvania genealogy.
Bodine Family 7/12/1928 Bodines Held Reunion: TRENTON, July 6-The twentieth annual reunion of the Bodine family was held in Cadwallader Park. After a picnic lunch the meeting was called to order by William H. Bodine, of Florence, temporary chairman. A letter of regret from Mrs. Joseph Bodine, of Washington, was read. A committee composed of Mrs. Joseph Bodine, Miss Elsie Bodine and Gilbert Bodine was appointed to present resolutions on the death of Rev. John V. Bodine, of Tallman, N. Y., president of the family association for 20 years. Officers of the association were elected as follows: President William H. Bodine, of Florence; vice president, Mrs. Joseph Bodine, Washington; secretary, Miss Elsie M. Bodine, Florence; treasurer, Gilbert Bodine, Rockaway. Eighty-two members of the family were present from Washington, D. C., Philadelphia, Woodbourne, Erwinna, Tullytown, Phillipsburg, Stockton, Florence, Jersey City, Kingston, Frenchtown and Milford.

After a long illness John Bodine, of Grandview avenue, died Saturday night, aged 73 years. He was a native of Sergeantville, N.J., but had spent a good part of his life in this city, where he carried on a carpenter business. He leaves a widow and three sons, David, Lambert and William C. and a daughter, Mrs. Annie Smith, of this city, and a son John, of Sandbrook. The funeral will be held tonight at the house and the burial will be made tomorrow at Sandbrook. Mr. Bodine was one of the oldest Plainfield Odd Fellows. He was a member of Plainfield Lodge, No. 44, and of Noah Dove Encampment, No. 28.

Mrs. CLARA A. BODINE, widow of John Bodine, died Friday night at her home in North Plainfield, N. J., at the age of 92. She left four sons, three daughters, fifteen grandchildren and twenty-five great-grandchildren.
