Notes for: Thomas Throp Bodine
Some of this information comes from the 1850 Censuses of New Jersey (roll 444, p. 414). He is listed as 41 years old. They were living in Mount Holly Township in Burlington County. In the 1880 Census of Northampton, he is listed as a shoemaker.

The Bodine family was living 1870 in Northampton Township, Burlington County where Thomas worked as a gardner and in 1880 was employed there as a shoemaker. The will of Thomas T. Bodine, of Mount Holly, dated 20 June 1884, with a codicil added 3 Oct 1887, was proved 26 Jan 1892. Therein, he named his wife Elizabeth W. M. Bodine who was also designated executrix, and children Alonzo M. Bodine and Annie B. Bodine (Burlington Co. Wills, V: 371). See also his obituary in the "New Jersey Mirror" of 12 Feb 1890. The will of Elizabeth W. Bodine, of Mount Holly, dated 12 Feb 1890, was proved 26 Jan 1892 and named children John W. Bodine, who was also appointed executor; Alonzo M. Bodine; Bessie A. Baillie, wife of William K. Baillie; Susan M. Reill, wife of Charles E. Reill; Clinton B. Bodine; Annie B. Bodine; grandaughter Elizabeth Roseman Reill; grandsons Frank B. Bodine and Joseph R. Bodine; and Fannie Reill, Bertha Reill and Sallie A. Reill, whose relationships were not stated, but who undoubtedly were her granddaughters (Burlington Co. Wills, V: 368). BODINE.---On Dec. 21, 1891, Elizabeth W., wife of the late Thomas T. Bodine, aged 71 years. The relatives and friends of the family are respectfully invited to attend the funeral, on Thursday morning, Dec. 24, at 11:30 o'clock, from the residence of her son, Mr. J. W. Bodine, 583 Mickle street, Camden, N.J. Interment at Mount Holly, N.J. Trains leave Market street, Phila., at 1 o'clock.
