In the name of God Amen I JONATHAN HIGGINS of the Township of Amwell in the
County of Hunterdon in the State of New Jersey yeoman being of grate (sic)
age and in Health and of perfect memory and Understanding considering the
uncertainty of life and being desirous to leave my Estate which God has
Pleased to bless me with I do make this my last will and Testament in the
manner following hereby revoking all former wills and Testaments by me made,
and first resine (sic) my soul to God that gave it and my body to be
decently buried by my Executors Hereafter named and I give and bequeath unto
my son JEDIAH HIGGINS the Plantation whereon he now lives to him his Heirs
and assigns with all the Benefits and profits thereon belonging and also
Three Hundred pounds to be paid to my son JEDIAH out of my moveable Estate
by my Executors hereafter named, and I give and bequeath unto my son
JONATHAN HIGGINS the plantation whereon he now lives to him his Heirs and
assigns and I also give unto my son JONATHAN HIGGINS Three Hundred pounds
to be paid out of my movable

Estate by my Executors hereafter named, and I give and bequeath unto my son
NATHANIEL HIGGIS the Plantation whereon he now lives with all the benefits
and profits thereon belonging to him his Heirs and assigns and I also give
unto my son NATHANIEL HIGGINS Three Hundred pounds to be paid out of my
moveable estate by my Executors Hereafter named. I also give and bequeath
unto my daughter PATTY COVENHOVEN, widow of JOHN COVENHOVEN all the
Plantation whereof I have Rented or left this Spring during her Natural life
and I also give to my daughter PATTY COVENHOVEN fifty pounds to be paid out
of my moveable Estate by my Executors Hereafter named. My will further is
that the Plantation I give to my daughter PATTY COVENHOVEN after her Decease
to be equally divided between my two grandsons JONATHAN H. COVENHOVEN and
ISAAC B. COVENHOVEN to them their Heirs and assigns and I also give and
bequeath unto my grandson JON!

NATHAN R. HIGGINS one Hundred pounds to be paid him out of my Moveable Estate
by my Executors Hereafter named. I also give my grandson JONATHAN R. HIGGINS
one big Horse which he now has in Possession. I also give and bequeath unto
my grand daughter ANNA BISHOP the sum of twenty pounds and I also give and
bequeath unto my grand daughter HANAH KUHLE fifteen pounds also give to
SARAH HIGGINS the sum of fifteen pounds the above legacies to be paid out of
my Moveable estate by my Executors hereafter named. I also give and bequeath
to my grand daughter CATHARINE COVENHOVEN the daughter of JOHN COVENHOVEN
the sum of twenty pounds and I also give to my grand daughter MARY HIGGINS
daughter of NATHANIEL HIGGINS the sum of twenty pounds to be paid out of my
Moveable Estate by my Executors hereafter named and I also give and bequeath
to ELISABETH HIGGINS daughter of JONATHAN HIGGINS also to NANCY HIGGINS
daughter of NATHANIEL HIGGINS the sum of ten pounds Each and the money to be
put to **!

* by my Executors hereafter named untill (sic) they are of the age of
Eighteen years if Either should not live to that age then to be paid to the
survivor and I also give and bequeath to my son JONATHAN HIGGINS all that
lott (sic) of land lying in the County of Northumberland and State of
Pennsylvania let the same be more or less and I also give and bequeath unto
BRITTON HIGGINS one negro boy named Ben, and my will further is that the
remainder of my Moveable Estate to be Equally divided between my three sons
and my Daughter named JEDIAH HIGGINS JONATHAN HIGGINS NATHANIEL HIGGINS
PATTY COVENHOVEN widow of JOHN COVENHOVEN to share and share alike and I
also hereby nominate and appoint my son JEDIAH HIGGINS ands my son NATHANIEL
HIGGINS to be my Executors to see this my last will ands Testament put in
Execution, which the said JONATHAN HIGGINS son the Testator to the last will
and Testament to which I have set my hand and *** this fifteenth day of
September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight Hundred and twelve 1812.

Be it Remembered that this Codicil to my last will and Testament made this
sixteenth day of September in the year of our lord one thousand eight
Hundred and twelve my will further is that my grandson JONATHAN R. HIGGINS
to share and share alike with my three sons and my Daughter in the over plus
(?) of my moveable Estate that is after all my legacies is paid out I Charge
my Executors named in the body of my will to pay Perticular (sic) Regard to
this Supplement as witness my hand the day and year above written.
