The picture below was sent to me by Marie Wright:
Marie said that this picture had Judiah's name written on the back. His name on Nellie's marriage return looks like "Jodiah." His name on the 1870 Census looks like it is "Jedediah H. Bodine." He died of paralysis and nervous exhaustion. He is buried in Mercer Cemetery in Trenton.
From Ronny Bodine:
In Sept. 1850, 19-year old Jediah Bodine lived in Trenton, Mercer County with his 16-year old brother Jesse, both engaged as tin smiths. From the Trenton State Gazette of 3 May 1855: "On the 1st of May, by Rev. R. Vanhorne, Judiah H. Bodine to Martha M. Beaty, both of this city. Flemington papers please copy." In 1860, Jediah and Martha Bodine lived in Trenton where Jediah was yet engaged as a tin smith. The couple had no living children. Judiah Bodine lived out his life in Trenton as a tin, sheet and iron worker. He was recorded as Jedediah H. Bodine in 1870 and Judah H. Bodin in 1880. Judiah and Martha Bodine were buried in Mercer Cemetery, Trenton, Mercer County. In 1910, as Margaret M. Bodine, age 76, she lived with her son-in-law and daughter, Benjamin and Helen Hopper, in Jersey City, Hudson County. It was reported she had borne 3 children of whom 2 were then living.
