Notes for: Fredrick ("Fred, Red") Noel Bodine

I found an obituary for a James F. Bodine and am just guessing that the information in it applied to this family. All I previously had, before seeing the obituary, was a birth date for Frederick Noel Bodine (9-16-1927). I could be very off on this guess.

Alice June Bodine, 63, of 107 Fandel Drive, East Peoria, died at 11:40 p.m. Saturday at her residence. Born Feb. 20, 1924, in East Peoria to Frank and Eunice Russell Blumenstock, she married Frederick N. Bodine on May 30, 1950, in East Peoria. He survives. Also surviving are four sons, Russell and William of Creve Coeur, Clarence and James of East Peoria; two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Mary) Dooley of Creve Coeur and Mrs. Richard (Alice) Dyer of North Pekin; nine grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Lily Wunner of Pekin and Mrs. Donald (Jessie) Kelso of Peoria. She was preceded in death by four brothers, three sisters, one grandson and one granddaughter. She was a member of the Sacre Coeur Catholic Church in Creve Coeur. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at her church. The Rev. Lawrence Morrissey will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the LeRoy Schmidt Memorial Chapel, with a wake service at 8 p.m. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria. Memorials may be made to her church.

Fredrick "Red" Noel Bodine, age 88, of Oquawka, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2015 at his home. Fredrick was born on September 16, 1927 in Missouri. He married Alice Blumenstock in 1950 and she preceded him in death in 1987. Also preceding him in death are three sons, William, James and Russell; two grandchildren; his parents and 12 siblings. Surviving are his children, "Bo" (Judy) Bodine of East Peoria, IL, Mary (Larry) Dooley of Oquawka, IL and Alice (Richard) Dyer of North Pekin, IL; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Allison of Kansas. Fredrick was an independent welder. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his family. Fredrick was also an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan. Services will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 11am at Remmert Funeral Home in East Peoria with visitation held one hour prior to the service. Msgr. Thomas Mack from Immaculate Conception Church in Monmouth will be officiating. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria. Memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Church in Monmouth.
