Born 19 July 1929, Harriett "Tex" Louise (nee Reeder) Bodine who was fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church and consecrated to Mary, died on Tuesday, October 29 at her home in Cape Fair. She was 84 years old. Tex was born on July 19, 1929 in Wichita, Kansas. She was the daughter of James & Evelyn (nee Morris) Reeder. She was a loving mother and tremendous homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and taking care of children. She also loved watching the St. Louis Cardinals. Tex was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Henry Bodine; one brother, Everette Reeder and two grandchildren, Travis and Christopher. She is survived by her four children, David Bodine & wife Becky of Cape Fair; Frank Bodine & wife Nancy of Ankeny, IA; Howard Bodine & wife Debbie of Olathe, KS; Christy Carender of Eldon, MO; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Friday, November 1 at the National Cemetery in Springfield, MO. Arrangements were under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Funeral Home, Branson.
