Roy Orville Tichenor, born 17 Sept 1899 in Spencer County, KY; died 5 May 1938 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY of meningitis and was buried in Big Spring Cemetery. His parents were Will and Emma (Bennett) Tichenor. His wife was Martha Elizabeth Bodine. Informant was Clifton Bodine.

Note: Both the 1900 census of Spencer County and the WW1 draft registration reported Roy Tichenor's birth as Sept. 1899. His grave marker must have been placed long after his death for there to be confusion as to the year of his birth and his middle name.
