He was an electrical engineer. From 1930 to 1942 he was with Missouri Public Service in Kansas City, Missouri, and later was district chief engineer of the United Telephone Service, based in Jefferson City, Missouri.

BODINE Jacqueline L. Bodine, 75, of Jefferson City, died Sunday, February 3, 2008, at St. Mary's Health Center. She was born October 17, 1932, in Taos, Missouri, a daughter of the late Frank W. and Viola (Schneiders) Stegeman. She attended Immaculate Conception School and was a graduate of St. Peters High School. On October 8, 1965, she was united in marriage in Jefferson City, to Martin S. Bodine who preceded her in death on March 14, 1981. Mrs. Bodine worked for Oberman Manufacturing, Capital City Telephone Company, and the Missouri Secretary of State's Office. She was also a homemaker. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. One of her favorite things in life was spending time with her family. She is survived by a son, Brad Thompson and his wife, Marsha of Burlington, Iowa; a daughter, Debbie K. Shipley and her husband, Butch of Jefferson City; one sister, Helen Longacre of Treasure Island, Florida; two grandchildren, Brett Shipley of Jefferson City and Lauren Shipley of Jefferson City; one great-granddaughter, Sydney Shipley of Jefferson City; and many loved nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by four brothers, Tom Stegeman, Leonard Stegeman, Richard Stegeman, and Gene Stegeman. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2008, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
