Notes for: John Franklin Bodine
John F. Bodine was still living in Loudoun County, Virginia in 1910. Bettina Allred sent me the info saying that John and Gracie were buried together in the Leesburg Union Cemetery. I did have a birth date of July 1878 for John. There is also a George William and May Belle Bodine (married) buried in the Leesburg Cemetery. Dates are 1905-1989 and 1902-1977. I figure they must be children of this John or John's brother, Henry C. Bodine. That's just a guess.
I wonder if someone misread the tombstone. The SS Death Index says he died on May 15, 1966 and not on May 13.
From Ronny Bodine:
The marriage of John F. Bodine to Gracie M. Stunkle at her home in Belmont, near Leesburg, was reported in the Washington (D.C.) Post of 27 Dec 1904. John and Grace Bodine were buried in Union Cemetery, Leesburg, Loudoun County. The Bodine family lived all of their lives in Loudoun County where John engaged in farming. Grace reported in April 1910 she had borne one child, who was then living with them. Grace (Stunkle) Bodine was the daughter of C. A. and Emma Jane Stunkle.
