The 1871 Washington, D.C. City Directory lists Geo. W. Rose, carpenter, at 314 14th sw. [Wives are not listed.]
From the Pennsylvania Death Certificate of Lily P. Rose: born 26 June 1868 in Washington, D.C. to George W. Rose and Melvina Bodine; died 28 April 1934 in Aston Township, Delaware County.

MELVINA BODINE ROSE died 19 July 1869 and buried 20 July in Section P, Lot 91, Site 1.
GEORGE W. ROSE was buried 27 Feb 1872 in the same.
Based upon the above, George and Melvina lived in Washington D.C. until their deaths and were buried together in Glenwood Cemetery in the same lot.
