From Ronny Bodine:

In 1831, Isaac Owsley moved to Camden, Lewis County, Missouri and in 1833 settled in Marion County, locating near Palmyra. By 1860, the census reported his real estate holdings at $9000. See the obituary of Isaac B. Owsley in the Palmyra "Spectator" of 25 April 1879 which states he was "more familiarily and lovingly called" Bodine Owsley and was laid to rest in the Palmyra Baptist Church Cemetery. His wife, Catherine 'Kitty' Ann Shropshire, was the daughter of Dr. James P. and Mildred Malinda (Dickerson) Shropshire.
