The Rev. H. G. Lincoln officiated. [Note: Trout Creek is a hamlet in the town of Tompkins in Delaware County, NY]

Albert T. (Letty) Mauro Sr., 73, of RD # 1, Sidney Center, NY, died Wednesday, March 14, 1990 at the M. I. Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Rheta (Filer) Mauro, Sidney Center; one son and daughter-in-law, Albert and Betty Mauro, Jr, Springfield, GA; a daughter, Mrs. Bruce (Deborah) Steed, Clyo, GA; nine grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bernard (Billy) Mauro, Warrenton, VA, Dominic (Micky) Mauro, Hornell, NY; two sisters. Mrs. Veronica Bucko, Mrs. Rose Acosta, both of Binghamton; also several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a daughter, Mrs. Darlene Ann Garrett on January 21, 1981. Mr. Mauro was first married to Rosalie Wolfe who predeceased him on March 15, 1965. He later married Mary Bishop who predeceased him on July 12, 1981. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday March 17 at Sacred Heart Church, Sidney with Rev. Father Gordon Polenz Celebrant. Burial will be later in Prospect Hills Cemetery, Sidney. Friends may call at their convenience Friday at the C. H. Landers Funeral Chapel, 21 Main St., Sidney where the family will be in attendance from 7 to 9 p.m. The Sidney Moose Lodge will conduct Ritualistic Services 8 p.m. Friday evening at the Funeral Chapel. A Wake Service will be held at 8:30 p.m. Memorial gifts in his name may be made to the Trout Creek Emergency Squad or the Loyal Order of the Moose, Sidney, NY.

The June 2006 obituary of her brother, Everett, names her Rhetha Filer-Mauro of Trout Creek. The June 2020 obituary of her stepbrother, Robert M. Carroll, named among his survivors "sister Rhetha Filer Mauro of Sidney Center."

A graveside service at Walton Cemetery will be held for Rhetha in the summer on Rheth's birthday, June 25, 2022 or a rain date of June 26, 2022 a time will be announced.
