Louise Emily Bodine, 77, died Friday, March 10, 1995 at N.A.M. Hospital, Nassawadox. Mrs. Bodine was born in Hacksneck, daughter of the late Neal and Helen Bonniwell Sparrow. She was a member of Belle Haven United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Robert L. Bodine; a sister, Irene Hendrie of Medford, N.J.; and two grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in Belle Haven Cemetery by the Rev. Vernon Bonniwell. Doughty Funeral Home, Exmore, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, c/o Mrs. Sheppard K. Ames, P.O. Box 566, Cape Charles, Va. 23310.

Cedar View - Robert L. Bodine, aged 85 years, of Cedar View, VA, passed away April 21, 2018, in Virginia Beach, VA. Born and raised in Camden, NJ, he was the son of the late Harold Bodine and the late Mary Goliski Bodine. Mr. Bodine graduated from Temple University and worked for Camden Beer and UPS before joining the State of New Jersey. He retired in 1988 after a 25 year career as a supervisor with the State Department of Labor. After retirement, Mr. Bodine and his beloved wife, Louise Emily Bodine, returned to her childhood hometown of Belle Haven, VA. Mrs. Bodine preceded her husband in death, passing in 1995. Mr. Bodine is survived by his nephew, Rance (Pat) Bodine of Lehigh Acres, FL; his grandson, Barry (Sue) Godsey of Grayslake, IL; and his 2 great-grandsons, Hunter and Aidan Godsey of Grayslake. A graveside service will be conducted Friday, April 27, 2018, at 1:00 PM at Belle Haven Cemetery with Reverend Jack D. Pruitt officiating.
