William Burdine served in the US Navy 1956-1957 aboard the USS Hornet as a printer. Later he worked as manager and printer in Maryville, Blount County.

Charlsie Lucille Burdine age 79 of Louisville passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the family home. She was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Silver City, TN. She retired as a Registered Nurse with 42 years of service, working at Baptist Hospital and Parkwest Medical Center. Preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Roedna Estes; sister, Peggy Jean Haun; brother, Paul Marvin Estes. Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Tim Burdine; daughter, Paige Meadows Brown (Stephen); grandchildren, Paisley Amburn, Harper Amburn, and Harvey Brown; brother, Howard Estes; sister Wilma Rene Estes Hurley (E.T.). Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 24, 2017 in the Smith Trinity Chapel. Note from Dave: I see a daughter mentioned for Tim and Charlise in her obit, but not a son Tim. I wonder if that is a mistake.
