In 1850-1870, James Bodine lived with his mother in Pemberton, Burlington County. In 1880, James R. Bodine, age 59, and single, was living with his sister Margaret in Pemberton, working as a farm laborer. The 1895 New Jersey State Census records James R. Bodine, age over 60, living in Pemberton, Burlington County with the family of John and Caroline Deacon.
