Notes for: Alice Wycliffe

There is a genealogy of this Wycliffe family from Yorkshire in An History of Richmondshire, in the North Riding of the County of York; together with those parts of the Everwicschire of Domesday which form The Wapentakes of Lonsdale, Ewecross, and Amunderness, in the Counties of York, Lancaster, and Westmoreland, by Thomas Dunham WHITAKER. London: Longman, Hurst, Rees (and others), 1823. 2 volumes. About this Alice, Whitaker says this:

Alice, wife of Sir. Richard Conyers, of Cowton, Co. York, knight.

Information on the Wycliffe family in the Radcliffe Box in S. of G. in London says she was mentioned in some legal proceedings with Christopher Conyers, the brother of her brother's wife, on possibly June 22, 1483 (T. E., iii, 291).
