Obituary, Middletown (NY) Daily Argus of Monday, 23 May 1904.
Edward Bodine, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Bodine of Bloomingburgh, died at the home of his parents on Saturday, at the age of about 22 years. He had served three years in the Twenty-second Infantry and while in the southern country contracted fever. Six weeks ago he was discharged and came home in a weak and debilitated condition from which it was impossible to rally. Besides his parents, he is survived by four brothers--John, George and James at home, William, a resident of Bloomingburgh, and Mrs. John Van Leuven of Goshen. The funeral was held from the home of his parents this afternoon at 2 o'clock.

In later times Bloomingburgh changed the spelling to Bloomingburg.

Burials in Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery, Orange County, New York.
