Notes for: Abraham A. Bodine

From Ronny Bodine:

On 12 Sept 1918, Abraham Bodine registered for the World War I draft in Perth Amboy, Middlesex County. He reported that he was born 1 Sept 1900, worked as a bellboy at the Westchester Country Club and that his father, Henry Bodine, of Perth Amboy, was his nearest relative. In Jan 1910, the family lived in Perth Amboy and his age was reported as 8. In April 1930, Abraham Bodine was age 27 and single, living with his parents in Perth Amboy, Middlesex County and employed as a painter. He does not appear in the 1940 census, nor did he register for the World War II draft as he was required to do. He can be found in the 1945 Florida State census for Dade County as Abe A. Bodine 45 NJ Chauffeur with no family. Although he claimed he was born in New Jersey, his parents did not come to America until 1903, after his birth.
