Notes for: Helen Elizabeth Creveling Bodine

I did have her name as Helen C. Bodine. Joyce Cook's web site listed it as Helen Elizabeth Creveling Bodine. I'll go with that for now.

On her grave inscription, she is listed as the daughter of Samuel C. and Betsey Hill. She was not married.

Obituary, The Daily News (Batavia, N.Y.) of 6 Oct 1917.
North Oakfield, Oct. 6.---Miss Helen Bodine died from tuberculosis on Wednesday at the home of her sister, Mrs. Fred Grinnell, in Barre. Miss Bodine was born in Oakfield fifty years ago and was a daughter of Samuel and Betsy Bodine. She was born on the farm now owned by Clark S. Bodine. She lived there about 23 years. She had also lived in Rochester, in Boston, Mass., and in Florida. She is survived by two brothers, Clark S. of Oakfield and Archibald of Barre; four sisters, Mrs. Bertha Sauls of Enterprise, Fla., Miss Mary Bodine of Barre, Miss Hettie Bodine of Raybrook and Mrs. Grinnell, and eight nephews and nieces. The funeral was held this afternoon, the burial being at West Barre. The Rev. W. W. Neville of West Barre officiated.
