She was probably married to a G. W. Hirshmiller of Waterman, Illinois or an A. J. Paff of Ft. Wayne, Indiana. These were the relatives listed on her mother's obituary.

In June 1900, Andrew and Effie Paff lived in Perry Township, Allen County, Indiana engaged in farming. They reported that in 21 years of marriage Effie had borne one child, then living with them. In April 1910 the family lived in Gladwin Township, Gladwin County, Michigan, in Jan 1920 in Sage Township, Gladwin County; and by April 1930, Andrew Paff was widowed and living in Orland, Steuben County, Indiana. Andrew Paff appears in the 1946 Fort Wayne, Indiana City Directory and died shortly before 5 July 1947 when his obituary was published in the Fort Wayne (Ind.) Journal Gazette.

Effie M. Paff, eldest daughter of three children born to Allen and Frisby A. Bodine, was born April 9, 1861, in Cedar Creek township, Allen County, Ind. She was married Jan. 30, 1879 to Andrew J. Paff. To this union was born one son, George E. who preceded her in death Aug. 19, 1919, at San Antonia, Texas. Mrs. Paff had been a patient sufferer for the past ten years, during most of this time she was confined to her bed, and during this time she took great comfort in the promise of her Savior, "I go to prepare a place for you. I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am there ye may be also." She received the reward of this promise Thursday, Feb. 13, at 11:30 o'clock in the morning when she peacefully fell asleep in Jesus, leaving to mourn her passing her loving husband, A. J. Paff, her younger sister, Gianetta Waters Hirschmiller, of Waterman, Ill., and her elder brother, Rev. John E. Bodine, of Traverse City, Mich., a niece, Estella Waters Hamilton, of Waterman, Ill., three grandnephews and a grand niece also of Waterman, Ill., friends and many other relatives. The sister and brother, due to failing health were not permitted to attend the last rites. Mr. and Mrs. Paff quietly celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary Jan. 30, 1930. The funeral services were held Saturday morning at 9 o'clock at the home in Orland and at 2 o'clock at the Leo M. E. church, burial in the Leo cemetery. Rev. Forbes officiated at the home and Rev. S. F. Painter of Monroesville, officiated at Leo.
