Chauncey W. Barker, 18, Private, from Brookfield, NY, served with Company A, 176th Infantry Regiment from 2 Oct 1862 to 16 Nov 1863. In 1870, Chauncey W. Barker, 25 NY, lived with his parents in Woodwich, Gloucester Co., NJ.

Obituary, Tioga County Record (Owego, NY) of Thursday, 4 March 1897.
Died, at Apalachin, N.Y., Monday, March 1, 1897, of typhoid pneumonia, Chauncey Barker, aged 40 years. He is survived by his wife and three children. The funeral was held at his residence Wednesday at 1 p.m. and at the M.E. church at 2 p.m.

Charles A. Darling died at his home in South Apalachin Monday after a short illness, aged 76 years. He is survived by four sons, Frank of Endicott, Edgar of Portland, Ore., Truman of Brooklyn and Earl of South Apalachin; five daughters, Mrs. Martin Duddy of Wilkes Barre, Pa.; Mrs. Charles Van Riper of Apalachin, Mrs. Harold Stinnard of Newark Valley, Mrs. Leonard Johnson and Miss Lena Darling of Washington, D.C., and a sister, Adella Jennings of Williamsport, Pa. The body was removed to the Spencer & Coleman home for funerals, 300 East Main street, Endicott, where it will remain until 1 o'clock Wednesday afternoon.

Apalachin, March 4.---The funeral of Mrs. Burt Darling, who died at the Packer Hospital in Sayre Monday, aged 46 years, was held at the home at Little Meadows on Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock. She is survived by her husband and five children: Chauncey Barker, of Binghampton, Misses Beulah and Bessie Barker of Washington, D.C., and Edna and Lena Darling at home.
