HEBRON---Mrs. Roy (Rachel) Berdine, 80, of Hebron, died Monday in Porter Memorial hospital after a shorl illness. Born in Hebron May 24, 1881, she was the daughter of Patrick and Martha Donhue. Her husband preceded her in death in 1914. Mrs. Berdine was a member of the Hebron Methodist church and a charter member of the American Legion auxiliary. Surviving are one son, Charles; one daughter, Mrs. Mabel Osby, both of Hebron; two sisters, Mrs. Edith Fisk, Ashville, N.C., and Mrs. Emma Russell, Gary; two grandchildren, and three greatgrandchildren. Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in the Phillips-Slembel Funeral home. Burial will be in the Hebron cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Wednesday.
