Their reported date of marriage of 18 April 1873 has not been verified, but as their daughter Louisa was born about 1874, perhaps the date is correct, yet needs authentication.

1895 Adair Co., IA: Maggie McDANIEL 44 IN widowed, May 19, Esther 18, Martha 16, James, 13, Georgia 6. All children were noted as born in Adair County.
1900 Jefferson Twp., Adair Co., IA: Maggie McDaniel April 1850 IN widowed, May Oct 1875 IA dau school teacher, Martha Oct 1878 IA dau school teacher, James June 1881 IA son farmer, Georgia Oct 1888 IA dau. Maggie bore 6 children, all living. Father born in KY, mother in Maryland.
1910 Greenfield Twp., Adair Co., IA: Maggie McDaniel 60 IN widowed, Georgianna 21 IA dau, Esther DICKEY 12 IA gdau, Francis 9 IA gson, Josephine 7 IA gdau.
