Obituary, The Windsor (MO) Review of Thur., 11 March 1915.
Sarah J. Bowdine was born in Cooper County, Mo., in 1832, and moved with her parents two years later to a place near Wableau in Hickory County. She was married to James G. Wallace August 20, 1848, and to them were born three children, a son and two daughters. After Mr. Wallace returned from California where he had been for wo years '49 to '51, they settled at Elkton, Hickory County. This farm was sold and another bought two and one-half miles west of Lincoln, in Benton County, where they resided from March 1867 until their removal to Windsor about twelve years ago. Five years and one month ago Mr. Wallace was called home and Friday, March 5, 1915 about 10 o'clock, she joined him where there will be no more partings or removals. Mrs. Wallace, many years ago, made a profession of her faith in her Savior at the Bethel Baptist Church near Lincoln. She had no fear for the future, but feared the sufferings which she fancied must accompany death. She was graciously spared this, as her last hours were without suffering, she passed peacefully away. The funeral services were conducted from the Baptist Church by Rev. T. M. McDonnell and she was buried in Laurel Oak Cemetery.

Burials in Laurel Oak Cemetery, Windsor, Henry County, Missouri.
