----- Original Message ----- I have come into possession of an old family bible, the original owner having been one Nehimiah Dennis. One of his children is listed in the family history as having married one George A. Neafus in February 1864. Also, listed in the deaths section of the bible is one "George A. Neafus, Sen. New Orleans, LA" in October 1874. There are also two Neafus children, grandchildren of the bible's original owner, listed in the births section.
There are also two two sided pages, each having four photographs per side (sixteen total) which look like they range from 1850's to early 1900's of individuals.
If this may be part of your line, or if you know someone who may want to reclaim this bible as an heirloom or genealogy research tool, or hopefully both, please contact me. This is being posted to all surname boards with surnames shown in the Bible. The names are Dennis, Collins, Cushman, Gage, Neafus, Gault.
