Donald Earl Bodine AND Donna Sharlene Halder were married 1 April 1952.

Donna is the daughter of Anthony Joseph and Sarah Halder.

Donald E. Bodine went to be with our lord on January 16, 2016. Don was born March 12, 1929 to William P. & Edith Bodine March 12, 1929 in Texarkana Texas. He served his country in the US NAVY @ NAS CC where he met the love of his life Donna HalderBodine. They were married April 1 1952. Don attended The University of TEXAS graduating with an accounting degree. In his lifelong work in accounting he worked for the IRS and several companies in the Oil and Gas business. He loved playing Country music with many local bands. Don was in charge of the South Texas Opry show for 25 years scheduling local area musical talent. Don was inducted in the Texas Country music Hall of Fame in 2010. Don is preceded in death by his parents; mother and father in law, Tony and Sarah Halder; infant daughter, Robbin. He is survived by his loving wife, Donna; children, Brian (Annie) Bodine, Denise (John) Skrobarczyk both of Corpus Christi, TX; one granddaughter, Cynthia Ann Gonzalez (Adrian); one great-granddaughter, Maddison; brothers, Mike Bodine of Dallas, TX, Lois Duval and Willene Bodine of Grand Prairie, TX and Derald Bodine of Hector, AR. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 with a Funeral Service to be held that same afternoon at 12:00 p.m. at Seaside Funeral Home Chapel with Interment to follow at Seaside Memorial Park.

Donna Bodine, age 91, passed away July 7, 2023. Donna was born and raised in La Moure, North Dakota. Donna came to Texas as a teenager with her parents. She met the love of her life Donald Bodine and they married April 1, 1952. She is survived by her children and their spouses, grandchildren as well as many other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Donald. Their infant daughter Robin and parents Tony and Sara Halder. The family would like to thank Tracie at Port Home Healthcare as well as the many doctors that cared for her. A special thank you to our friend Jesielle and neighbors David & Julie for all their help with Donna. A Graveside Service will be held at 10am on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Seaside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Al Amin Shriners Children's Burn Unit, Driscoll Children's Hospital, Ronald McDonald's House and St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
