Notes for: Reuben Edward ("Bo") Bodine

From Ronny Bodine:

He is Reuben Earl Bodine, 17, in the 1930 census living with his parents Charles Oliver & Marion Odell Bodine, but many US Navy Muster Rolls from 1942 to 1945 list him as Reuben Edward Bodine. His mother's Sept 1959 obituary names him Reuben Bodine of San Angelo, Texas. City directories for San Angelo from 1952 to 1960 list the following:
1952 R. E. Bodine & Mrs. Skeet Bodine, at 87 Trailer Park. He a geologist with Petroleum Services and she with Friendly Beauty Parlor.
1956 R. E. & Allie M. Bodine at 15 W. 27th. He with Tri-State of Abilene
1957 R. E. & Skeet Bodine at 15 W. 27th. He with Stratalog Well Logging
1959 R. E. & Skeet Bodine at 15 W. 27th. He with Stratalog Well Logging
1960 R. E. 7 Skeet Bodine at 2858 W. Beauregard. He a well logger.

It is apparent that Skeet and Allie are the same person and as only one R. E./Reuben Bodine lived in San Angelo, he is the same person who was named in Marion Bodine's 1959 obituary. Reuben and Allie were married twice to each other:

Reuben and Allie M. Bodine appear in the 1945 Fort Worth, Texas city directory and the 1952-1960 San Angelo city directories as noted earlier. Information in the 1960 directory would have been gathered in 1959 and sometime in 1959 Reuben and Allie were divorced and Reuben remarried.
