Notes for: Sidney James Bodine, Sr.

Elaine Wells located some information on him at FT Fischer in Waco, Texas on microfilm located there: Enlistments - Sid Bodine Spec Rangers 1916-1935 - six feet tall, ruddy complexion, blue eyes, brown hair and wieghed 175 pounds. Born in San Augustine County, Texas. He is buried at Liberty Hill Cemetery. This is two miles north of San Augustine on the Shelbyville Highway.

Sidney Bodine registered for the World War I draft on 5 June 1917 in San Augustine, Texas stating he worked there as a tenant farmer. In 1930, Sid Bodine and his family lived in San Augustine County where he engaged in farming. Sidney Bodine was buried in Liberty Hill Cemetery near San Augustine, Texas.
